With our EGEM “Global Equipment Management System”, we provide solutions specific to our customers’ needs such as fuel consumption, periodic maintenance, machine payroll tracking by digitizing their equipment management processes. One of our happy customers with whom we provide solutions is Ziver Construction.
With having more than 50 years of experience in the construction industry, Ziver İnşaat has started their journey for digital transformation in August 2019 and decided to ensure control of the machinery & equipment park via the EGEM – Global Equipment Management System, one of the key ENKA Systems products. Purchasing Manager Ergün Deniz on behalf of Ziver Construction, which uses EGEM, mentioned that EGEM provides great value especially to companies operating in the construction industry. Deniz shared his expectations, the path they walked through during the live transition, the benefits they provided from the system and the ENKA Systems experience starting with the software selection phase.
Ergün pointed that they were not using any software for machine & equipment tracking prior to EGEM and stated that they were managing data, including maintenance and repair processes of vehicles and work machines in their machine & equipment park on excel tables, and that they create inadvertent records and this creates a cost for them. He emphasized that the fact that the company has a lot of machinery & equipment and that all of these are used in different projects and in different locations make it difficult to control and follow up.
“Our Most Important Criteria in Software Preference is Ease of Use and Understandability.”
Emphasizing that the most important criteria are the ease of use and the intelligibility of the software while evaluating among the alternatives, Deniz said, “We paid great attention to the ease of use and understandability, especially because of the data entry from the construction sites. In addition, having a team that has a good command of ENKA Systems and offers the necessary solutions in response to our demands was also very effective in our decision. ”
Stating that they have faced resistance from their users on construction site short after the software has been taken live, Deniz said, “As with any software, end users have shown resistance against the use of EGEM. We insisted as management to overcome this resistance. At this point, EGEM can be easily used in our construction sites without the need for much HQ support. Users started to follow their reports on the system and they benefit from it. This has enabled EGEM to be adopted and used smoothly by everyone in the company. At this point, the approach of ENKA Systems team to problems we encountered was very helpful. ”
“Our Traditional Pre-Software Processes Has Changed Completely With Our Transformation with EGEM And Our Problems Have Been Eliminated.”
Ergün Deniz summarized the benefits they provided from EGEM as Ziver Construction in four main articles by stating that their needs, which cause them to decide that they need software for machinery and equipment tracking, were met with EGEM and that the problems experienced before were eliminated:
- Site warehouses were being able to kept under control. Material waste and various material losses are prevented.
- Keeping track of fuel costs, the largest cost item, has significantly reduced their required equipment budget.
- By tracking maintenance schedule of machine park on time, the costs that may arise from delays are eliminated.
- Machinery & equipment loan payments, insurance and inspection follow-up started to be made from the system. Thus, any losses that may arise from any missed inspection, insurance and credit payments are prevented.
Ergün Deniz stated that they recommended the EGEM – Global Equipment Management System for companies in the construction industry, scattered location, managing a large number of equipment and having difficulty in controlling machinery & equipment parks, as soon as they start using the system, they will prefer the added software. He also states that companies will see the benefits of software in a short time.
With EGEM, you can increase your profitability by controlling your equipment park with digital transformation.
